3D Digital Dental Impressions

Goodbye, traditional impressions created with a mold and messy, and often bad-tasting material. Hello, comfortable, clean, and material-free 3D Digital Impressions! Not only are digital impressions much more comfortable for the patient, but using the scanner allows us to be more efficient and accurate, which can result in a reduced number of visits to the office, saving the patient time.

Digital Dental X-Rays

Digital X-rays are the state-of-the-art X-ray images that give the RTO team the full picture of your teeth, root system, jaw structure, and bone alignment. The improved diagnostic capability of digital X-rays, and the ability to view the X-rays on a computer screen, allow our patients to better understand and follow their orthodontic treatment. Digital X-rays save time and increase patient care.

In addition to giving us a comprehensive dental image they also reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film X-rays. Since digital X-rays are instant, there is no longer a need to develop the X-ray film, which also makes it a very green technology – by eliminating film, developer, and chemical waste it’s better for you and the environment!

Soft Tissue Lasers

The RTO team uses soft tissue lasers for periodontal (gum) surgeries. Surgery via laser may sound like a big deal, but it’s really very simple, quick, and painless. These lasers are more efficient, cause less discomfort, promote a faster healing time, and decrease the risk of infection, providing a better outcome.

Digital Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera may look like an oversized pen, but it’s actually a high-resolution camera that combines the latest in video technologies with dental care. Both our patients and orthodontists can see detailed images of the teeth and mouth in real-time. With an intraoral camera, you are able to better understand what is happening inside your mouth and review the status of your oral health.

Digital Flat Screen Monitors – Get A Bigger Picture

These monitors are found next to every patient chair at RTO. Using the monitors, patients can view their dental radiographs with their orthodontist, or watch a movie or TV show. The use of digital flat screen monitors are another way that RTO orthodontists help our patients gain a better understanding and visualization of their oral health.

A variety of electronic games are available at each of the four RTO offices for patients to play when they visit us for an appointment.
