Clear Aligner Systems

Times have changed for the better! The days of braces as the only tooth straightening option are gone. Clear aligners have emerged as a wonderful way to get that perfect smile. Techniques, materials, and impression-less scanning have facilitated aligner care for patients from pre-teens to adults. Aligners are a great choice for improved comfort and esthetics during treatment. Many musicians, athletes, and patients with compromised teeth that need special/gentle attention benefit greatly from clear aligners.

Traditional Braces

Braces are used to assist in aligning and straightening teeth in order to not only improve appearance, but improve a person’s bite. Having braces isn’t just about improving your smile; it’s also about improving your overall dental health. Braces may be used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances to help with making corrections to a person’s bite.

Self-Ligating Metal Braces

At RTO, we utilize the most technologically advanced self-ligated braces available. Our brackets all have small doors that hold the arch wire in place. This decreases friction, increases comfort, and most importantly can decrease treatment time.

Clear Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are a popular choice for adults and older teens. Our self-ligated ceramic brackets dramatically reduce the appearance of braces. They are made out of a translucent material that will not stain with eating or drinking.

Retainers

Once treatment is complete, a retainer is worn for a period of time, usually just at night. The retainer helps maintain the new smile and also allows for small adjustments, if needed, once the braces have been removed.

Rapid Palatal Expanders

A rapid palatal expander is used to widen a narrow jaw.

An upper palatal expander is a common and efficient way to widen a narrow jaw. Whether the narrow palate was caused by an airway problem, tongue posture, thumb sucking, or genetics, an expander will help the upper jaw grow to the appropriate width by slowly widening the palate. This also allows for the permanent teeth to erupt safely, relieve crowding and create a wider and more beautiful smile.

A Herbst Appliance repositions the jaw over time to create proper alignment and an improved profile. With the Herbst appliance, we can care for you with fewer tooth extractions and with NO HEADGEAR.
